Rachel Johnson
Piano/Guitar/Voice

Rachel's background in music began
with singing traditional Irish folk songs
and playing recorder with her family in
childhood. She sang in the school and
church choirs from 3rd grade through
college, as well as performed in various
musicals. Rachel received her Bachelor
of Music in Music Education with vocal
emphasis from The Hartt School at the
University of Hartford in West Hartford,
CT. With her voice students, she
focuses on the physical aspects of
singing and uses Kodaly's techniques to
build inner hearing and music literacy.
at helping students begin their musical journey with careful, sequential instruction,
patience, and encouragement. Rachel is an alumnae member of Sigma Alpha Iota,
January of 2011.
