The Stafford Music Academy is always accepting applications for new teachers. The
vast majority of our instructors have some previous teaching experience, but we know
that everybody needs a first opportunity, so attitude and dedication are more
important. Teachers MUST:

  • Be able to commit to at least one year of teaching (you will sign a contract to
    this effect).
  • Be able to work on weekday afternoons
  • Pass a background check

Heavy preference will also be given to teachers who:

  • are able to teach multiple instruments, as this allows us much more flexibility in
    scheduling.
  • able to assure us that they will be in Bloomington for more than one year
(i.e. they are enrolled in a multi-year degree program)
  • can provide previous students and/or parents as references

Teaching in our academy setting is a wonderful, hassle-free experience! Other than the
lesson itself, we take care of the students. This means you don't have to do the
advertising, scheduling, or handle the finances! You'll simply come in, teach for your
scheduled time, and get paid every two weeks. You'll find it's a big improvement over
any other part-time work you could find in Bloomington. You will find it is highly
rewarding not only financially, but also professionally.
